Kidpreneur: Neeasia's Seashell Jewelry

We had a lovely Q & A with Kidpreneur Neeasia from New York City. She has turned her passion for seashell jewellery into a budding business and is getting some funding to grow the business. Check out what makes this young lady tick below.

What inspired you to start your business?

I realize there was no seashell jewelry being sold in New York City. So I asked my mother can I make seashell jewelry.

What advice would you give to another child who wants to start their own business?

I would say “just believe in yourself and see what happens”.

What are your long term goals?

My long term is to have a successful business and open other businesses.

Bino and Fino is a cartoon that aims to educate children from all backgrounds about aspects of African history, culture and languages. What is your favourite subject at school and why?

My favorite subject in school is math because it is fun.

Zeena the magic butterfly travels everywhere with Bino and Fino. If you could travel anywhere in the world today where would you go and who would you go with?

I would go to Africa with my mother because I want to see the animal and African Tribes.

What words of wisdom do you think every child should grow up knowing?

Embrace your culture and love who you are.
